My Capstone Exhibition

I have posted a picture in an earlier blog post.

My booth featured a tri fold board with some information. I highlighted my title on the board and placed my poster in the middle of the board. I had typed out and then posted some key arguments of my project on colorful construction paper in paste shades. I also had a website that i showed the judges on my laptop.

My experience was waaaaay better that I had expected. I expected the presentation to be very difficult. But, it was easy. I expected the judge to be meaner and to ask a lot of questions. But, the judge never asked me any questions. The judge was also very nice.

IMED PSA

This is my link to my prezi and I was unable to make into a video because I was having technical difficulties. My senior capstone has to do with creating a makeup store for mini size makeup store. But it is essential to not go overboard with such things and that is what my psa is about.

PSA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TkQuK5s3w0

This video discusses informs on how teenagers are really stressed and their parents have no idea. This just shows that no one can really tell when someone is stressed or needs to see a psychologists until they want to or if there are mandatory check ups.

I really enjoyed this video. The patient was a very good actor. This video really made me feel bad for the girl. It was very clean and well made.

My PSA

The key points will be the face that so many psychiatric disorders get overlooked and ago untreated.

The visuals used will be pictures of distressed girls and guys who look perfectly normal and buy you never know which one of them may commit suicide. The audio should be low and mournful sice this is a very sensitive and serious topic.

My PSA will be serious with no video or people, it will mostly be moving pictures and texts with statistics.

My general outline is to have many statistics, low beat music, and pictures. I plan on it being moving and serious. I will only use texts and pictures, no voice-overs.

Web Pages

I want to go for a very pastel like theme. I would want very soft light, pastel colors. Nothing bold nor something that stands out too much, I want to go for a subdued and refreshing effect with cool colors. The font should be easy to read. I want nice graphics and multiple webpages.
I would want a homepage that would act as an introduction. It would introduce my ideas and include captivating graphics to attract the viewer.
I would also need a Contact Us page with info on it.
I need a research page that includes what I did and summaries on them.
I also need a sources page that would have all my sources listed.

Senior Project Poster

I want my presentation to be pretty serious but with some comedy. I want to have a presentation in which everyone smiles but with serious notes.

No, i want my presentation to be very sophisticated.

It does not focus on the environment.

I have no pictures in mind.

I do not know how big I want the poster.

My Capstone Project

My capstone project is about collaborating psychiatrists and physicians. I want there to be a psychiatrist located in every physician's office. I believe that that would help our society. Many psychotic patients never get screened because they are to lazy to find a psychiatrist's clinic or they don't want to drive the distance. If we station a psychiatrist in every clinic, that would fix the problem.

My end product was rejected

Poster Research

1) Try to keep 40% of the poster area empty of text and images.
2) Try to use no more than three fonts in your document.
3) Use large fonts that can be easily read from 5 feet away.
4) If your trying to make a large bold statement you may have to go with something more like a
display font.
5) The purpose of your poster should be thought about in great detail when you prepare to start designing.
